EUPHORIA... a "GenX-perience"

Miami Carnival/Mardi Gras Parade 2005 will be held on Sunday, October 9th, in downtown Miami, culminating at Bicentennial Park on Biscayne Blvd. Generation X, the masquerade band that has made its mark as the most popular in Miami Carnival, kicked off the 2005 carnival season with its Band Launching on Friday, July 29, 2005 at Bayside Hut on Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne to a capacity crowd. Their next event is the Annual All-Inclusive Summer Splash Wet Fete on Friday August 26th (postponed to Sunday September 4th) at the same venue.

The Generation X presentation this year is entitled "Euphoria", and is a symbolization of the total "GenX-perience". It encompasses all the emotions aroused by playing Mas (the term used for dancing in the streets in the parade in costume) with Generation X and is depicted in each of the costumed sections with designs direct from the birthplace of Carnival, Trinidad and Tobago.

ENERGY: Brilliant Gold demonstrating intense, dynamic action filled with the vitality of life. Enthusiastic masqueraders gyrating vigorously with powerful Soca Energy.

BLISS: Serene, sensitive Lilac & Silver exulting in a heightened state of happiness beyond anything you've ever experienced.

SYNERGY: Vibrant Aqua Blue & Orange coloring the people, the music, the dance, the costumes and the partying, creating a unity that is carnival.

ECSTASY: Striking Green & Turquoise melting into rapturous delight, a mystical trance transcending into paradise.

ELATION: Exhilarating Yellow & Gold depicting high spirits, an intoxicating joyousness far above the ordinary.

HARMONY: A fusion of Purple & Fuchsia exhibiting rhythm and melody, all peoples in one accord.

PASSION: Vivid Red & Gold evokes a sensual desire, an overwhelming feeling of exuberance.

Masqueraders party all day to Caribbean Soca music on the streets of Miami. Their all-inclusive package includes costume, food, drink, and all access to the most popular band in the best street parade & party in Miami.
