KEN HUNTER Born in Trinidad in the Caribbean Ken Hunter Haywood developed his artistic talents and elements of style at a very early age. His main influence was his father Kenny Haywood who was a recording artist in Trinidad in the early 80s. At the age of 17 he joined the now world renowned Laventille Rhythm Section. There he was able to express his song writing abilities based on the bands unique percussion vibes. Ken's video for his song "Jouvert" has become legendary in the Caribbean/European underground and he has now embarked on a new Caribbean/Soca, R&B fusion style that has been stirring up interest in the New York City music scene. He has also written, performed and co-produced a number of tracks on the Rituals music Label coming out of Trinidad. The award winning Laventille Rhythm Section has toured Germany for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Finals where the Trinidad and Tobago football team made it for the very first time in this the most prestigious soccer event in the world. Ken is also working on new music for his debut New York City CD and continues to sustain himself through his Modeling and Lighting Design work.
