Radioactive Entertainment put on Children of the 80’s on Saturday 17th December at the National Stadium. This was an event geared towards bringing back memories for all those who grew up and spent most of their childhood to teen years in the 80’s.

Let's talk dress code now. One of the main themes influencing the attire that people wore to the event was “House Colours.” Patrons were prompted to wear the colours of the house that they belonged to during their school days. For a large majority that didn't study the house colour ting, they surely did emphasis on school uniforms. Groups of people came out dressed up in past school uniforms... we talkin' bout PE uniform, Scouts uniform, Dress uniform. And well you know Trinis like to get creative... others made up their own school dress code!! None the wiser, it was almost like school was in session. Big up de 'Bad Lime Junior Sec' crew!

TJJ touched down at the venue at about 1 PM. Things were just about shaping up and the crowd was really growing at this hour. Jumping onto the music now. The patrons were entertained by most of Red 96.7 FM DJs and personalities. In keeping with the 80’s theme, DJs bussed real 80’s tunes and selections. Some of which wasn't heard in such a long time that patrons went wild and minds just started reminiscing on the good times!!

So party ram, music nice but what about drinks. Well it was a pay drinks affair. Unfortunately though, at some point in the night there was talk that “all the beers done!” Now for a fete that going until 8 AM, and beers to finish at about 4 AM, it was quite mysterious??!!

Anyways, by the time the crowd got a taste of Machel Montano, things were all good again. After his performance, there was a contest to see who had the best 80’s outfit or look. This surely gave people a good opportunity to see how far some folks imagination went in attaining that 80’s look. At about minutes after 6 AM, TJJ buss de tape and headed out. The fete was still going strong, but it was the dawning of a new day and the crew needed some well deserved sleep before we hit the next event. Who said entertainment was an easy job??!!
