For past Miami Carnivals, when it came to an All Inclusive Day Fete for the Saturday, Angostura University Fete was the place to be. However this year, there was another All Inclusive Day Fete in the mix - "Eyes Wide Shut" - so you know Trini Jungle Juice had to check it out.

Now the fete was suppose to kick off at 4pm, but did not get truly going till about 7:30pm. This was about the time DJ High Fidelity walked in and the gates officially opened. We observed several patrons just standing around outside about 5:30pm with music playing, who later decided to leave. Go where? We doh know! But we guess, when it comes to an All Inclusive Day Fete, you cannot afford to play around with people eating, drinking and feteing time schedule!

When we got on the inside, music was playing and the food and drinks were in place. Man, the Chinese food was outstanding like real Trini Chinese and the Jerk was phenomenal. Two thumbs up for the food!

Somewhere about 9pm Destra and Maximus Dan arrived on the scene, while DJs Young Chow and Benny kept the 'chongo' (state of happiness usually as a result of alcohol consumption, but not drunk) but scattered crowd in motion. Not too long after, Destra & super band Atlantik pulled every one together and banged out a hell of a show for the audience. Maximus then fortified the show with a solid performance while premium drinks flowed. Although the crowd was small everyone seemed to have a nice time and when asked by Destra if they coming back next year for a bigger and better "Eyes Wide Shut", they were all hands in the air. So definitely look out for Eyes Wide Shut 2006!!
