Happy Halloween peoples & what a better way to celebrate than attending the 2005 Halloween Masquerade Ball brought to you by none other than Marlon Singh's Callaloo & Triple Crown Entertainment. The fete was held at the spacious Fox & Fiddle in Scarborough (Kennedy & Progress) and what also seems to becoming an optional and welcomed change for soca parties. As usual, Trini Jungle Juice crew arrived on time - island time... midnight... ha ha, and the party had already begun.

Large up to the folks that went all out and come correct in full costume. Ah mean we were talking, sexy devils, tantalizing angels, corrupt police officers, fire chief, Sean Paul (now that was scary - lol) and even ah Fred and Wilma Flintstone! Maybe next year TJJ crew will be in costume... but doh hold yuh breath, the key word is maybe!! ;-)

Well in a blink of an eye party was ram, dance floor packed and it was only 12:30 AM!! Big up to Soca Monarchs & marXman on the one's and two that got the crowd working up a sweat to some sweet soca music early o'clock. You know the kind where you just wanted to jump and wave and get on bad!! Not to long into the dance, they switched up the beats with DJ Chief for some reggae. Wheellllll and come again. Even some ATL Dirty South styles play... "If you don't give a damn, go on throw it up... WHHHAT!!"

Who's next on the DJ Train? Yes sir, De Soca Prince Dr. Jay! What can we tell ya, he blessed de dance with some of the bigger tunes mashing up TnT today, but like the crowd wasn't ready for dem styles. We talking 'bout big tunes like Prophet Benjamin's Pretty Boy!! So leave it to the good Dr. to reassess the situation, give the partygoers a taste of some newer stuff, before changing the prescription to the older, more know tunes and bussin' de dance. At this time, costume or no costume, all man jack was wining, jumping, waving... just having a time. Also, nuff props to de man with de steel, E Man, who always hold down the mic, giving the feters that extra boost of energy. You know, like when a smallie have you wining down to the floor, and you feel like your knees or back about to give out, then you hear E Man's voice and bam bam, you reach down to the ground and back up in two two's!!

We had a nice time at this fete, and getting that extra hour of partying thanks to daylight savings made things even sweeter. The Callaloo & Triple Crown combination proved effective... although we ent see Marlon Singh for de night - like he was wearing the "Casper the Ghost" costume!! :-) Thanks for the love guys. TJJ making haste before the sun shines. Out.
