Well, its been a long time since sweet Trinidad has seen a performance from Bajan Soca Queen Alison Hinds. So long, that she now has her own band, "Sugar Bank". People as such were in much anticipation to see her, especially with her tremendously big hit “Roll It” mashing up de place.

The concert was called “Imagine” and was held at the Queen’s Park Oval. Patrons really got it nice from the promoters this night because not only were they going to see Alison Hinds perform, but also Trinidad & Tobago's adopted son Mr. Rupert "Rupee" Clarke for the first time in Trinidad with his Dot Com band! Can you even begin to imagine? We talking about two of the biggest artistes out of Barbados performing on the same stage... on the same night! Just listening to Rupee live on Red 96.7FM on the Friday before the show got folks all hyped for the show! Now, if your imagination does run as far as ours, you know that this concert has a lot more big acts in store. Yes folks, TnT's very own Destra with her band Atlantik and Maximus Dan. Imagine that!!

Destra was first in the line up. Looking radiant and sexy as usual, Destra came out and flew the Soca flag high doing a couple of her popular hits... "All meh Independent Ladies, Holla." After that, Maximus "The Gladiator" Dan, who was not part of the advertised line up took to the stage. We telling ya, patrons got more than their money's worth that night! Maximus didn't disappoint and he too also kept the crowd moving with his performance. Mr. DJ, a fairly new artist to Trinidadians, was also introduced. He performed his hit 2005 Crop Over song “Waistline Shots.”

Now when we started to hear women screaming and going wild, we knew who was next to hit the stage. None other than Atlantic Recording Artist Rupee. He started off with a pretty hype performance but then toned things down a bit. The crowd didn't seem too intrigued at this point and the vibes seemed to disappear for a moment. But leave it to good ole Rupee to have the crowd jumping once again before he left the stage.

Well ladies and gents, it reached the point where we saw most of the night’s performers and by this time you didn't haven’t to imagine any more. Yes indeed, it was time for Alison Hinds. Time to roll it people. Everyone could see that Alison still had her touch. That woman could wine and go down and stop! She teased the crowd for a while and waited until almost the end of her performance before she sang big tune “Roll It.” Alison closed off the show and things pretty much wrapped up at about half past three. TJJ Out.
