"Whoaaaaaaa.... look at people!" Iwer did mention to us the day before that over 16,000 tickets were sold for the biggest concert to ever hit Trinidad for the summer, "Soca for Summer". The event had to be moved from MOBS2 to the Concert Capital, Queens Park Savannah, due to the overwhelming response.

The nations top Soca bands and Soca artists took to the main stage to deliver one international act on the night. It was nonstop action from the minute Surface hit the stage, kicking off the festivities, all de way thru to when reigning Road March Champ Shurwayne Winchester and his big band Traffik closed the show. Wicked entertainment all night long. Big up to all artists that were on the inside. You dunn know VIP is all about socializing and drinking so we don't blame Machel for reaching out to his "jump n wave" partygoers, who were behind the VIP section, to come a little closer. Well who tell him say dat? Before you know it, the General Admission crowd started to rock the VIP fence in a frenzy. Lucky for everyone, the fence held it's ground and the crowd cooled down.

Both Machel and Bunji commented on the controversial statements made by reggae artist, I Wayne associating Soca with being a devilish thing. Machel let the crowd know that he believes in God and not Satan, while Bunji still made it very clear that he's not afraid to speak his mind and told the crowd he heard that a bounty has been placed on this head. A bounty? What madness we hearin'!!

Thanks to Trini Bashment 91.9FM and Synergy TV for putting this massive event together.
