So what better way to celebrate than featuring 3 of North America's top international Soca DJs... Back to Basics (New York), Tony Tempo (Atlanta) and D'Enforcas themselves alongside Soca Monarchs and Renegade Squad. And since, they in a celebrating mood, of course you have to throw De Farmers Rhythm Section in de mix!

TJJ arrived at the Fox & Fiddle around 12:45 am, and gauging from the car park, we could tell that the turn out was pretty decent. We were right! "Tell dem we reach.... tell dem we reach... tell dem we reach... tell dem we reach... tell dem whoa, Trini this is Carnival, when they here de party start... WE REACH!" On the inside, Bass Line of D'Enforcas was on the set jammin' the sounds of sweet Soca and the crowd was lovin' de vibes. As DJ Marley Marl (D'Enforcas) said, "This is the Soca Summit... 95% Soca music is how it should be!" Atlanta's #1 Soca DJ, Tony Tempo, was up next. Tony kept the vibes moving with his known deejay style of mixing with his own remixes and refixes. It was then a smooth transition over to Back to Basics representing for NY, who decided to take the crowd down the Tony Prescott's "All Aboard" segment. The timing was right and Soca lovers were definitely getting all de Soca they could ask for. Hosts E Man and S.K.F controlled the mic for the majority of night and kept things hyped as the tunes played. Special shout out to other host, Rico, for all the hospitality!

Although, the Soca train was moving quite nicely on the night, we believe when you have big name outta town DJs, you got to let the crowd know they in the house. We never went to a dance and see Bass Odyssey juggle tunes straight over to Mighty Crown, then over to Stone Love. Although the continuity in the music through out the night might have been appreciated by some, it gave the fete no real highlights. We never felt 'a clear peak at the summit.' Partygoers in Toronto are always complaining about fetes having the same DJs, so when you counteract that (props to the promoters), why not market it all the way. Just our two cents.

So 95% Soca, what about the other 5%? Soca Monarchs had the answer... Reggae and Dancehall time. With some classic dubs playing, some of the ladies decided to bring out their dancehall queen styles... yuh know, all de tantalizing waistline movements and ting... and the fellas were loving it. Before you know it, the time was 3 am... lights on, goodnight. So what better way to end de night than with some Soca Parang... "Christmas time is here again... Esta Fiesta... yuh limin' with all yuh friends... Esta Fiesta!" Shout outs to new Friends of the Jungle for letting the juice flow! We gone.
