There once was a time that getting people out of Brooklyn to a party in Long Island seemed impossible. Throw in the fact that the party starts at 3pm and ends at 11pm, and all you can think is "wowi wow"! Soca Web has changed all of that with their Garden Events.

Imagine drinking Johnny Walker Gold all day, served to you by some eye candy or walking up to one of two bars, poolside no less. This was the scene on Saturday when Soca Web did up their first garden event for the 2005. The day started of with perfect sunshine and what could easily have passed for a Caribbean breeze. Early evening drizzles didn’t stop the Rum Soca crew from living it up. The drizzles subsided and the crowd kept growing. Creole dishes, hors d'oeuvres, Chinese dishes, beautiful people, great music capped off with a serious corn soup that came out just at the right time.

Soca Web definitely found the formula for the All Inclusive in Babylon Country! DJ Tony and C.I.Dee Sound held it down very nicely throughout the event playing selections with a style that sets a Soca Web garden event apart from the rest. This event is now safely one of those bong-tuh-muss summer events. We'll let the pics say the rest. Oh yeah, we cannot fail to mention the few folks that really haven’t reached the “Mature Soca Lovers” landmark, and felt it necessary to actually get INTO the pool nearing the end of a perfect day.
