Trini Jungle Juice had some NY crew passin' thru the T-Dot, so we put we 'X' in we back pocket and headed to X-Fete III. It was our first time partying at the Toronto Police Association, so it took us a minute to find de place. And the construction taking place on the 401 right close to the fete, defeated the whole purpose of having a navigation system! It wasn't a simple 'X' marks the spot kinda deal for TJJ :-)

Now, you are probably asking yourself, "What de jail is X-Fete?" Okay, straight from de horses mouth... X Fete is simply the ultimate hornin' party! If now you asking yourself, "What de jail is 'hornin'???"... you need to surrender your Trinidad & Tobago passport at the nearest consulate! Lawd... the small talk carrrrr dunnnn! Okay, okay, 'horning' simply means cheating... so you know there is always some kind of trouble brewing at an X-Fete!

The concept was straight forward... neon glow necklaces were provided at the door to IDENTIFY if you were Taken (BLUE), if you were Single (GREEN), or HORNING (RED). Heh, feters needed to make sure who is who... and RED seemed to be the popular choice of the night!!! After being greeted by the sexy smallies at the door (large up to all Mr PlayHouse girls or girls wearing Mr PlayHouse tees in da house), TJJ decided if we were not going to wear all three colours, we were safer wearing none to avoid any potential drama. ;-)

On the inside you had Mr PlayHouse on the set along side E Man 'DeMan With DeSteel' on the mic. The dance had a nice mix of people and the music was on point... seXy people, X-cessive wining, X-cellent music. They even tossed in some live performances as a bonus kicking off with a Hornman by De Farmers, after which Ajala & "As One" came on and did a few numbers. Now, no disrespect to the live performers, but it kinda took away from the vibes of the fete as partygoers came out to fete, wine, jam and plain ole get on bad... and the live performances just was not cuttin' it after a while. But, D Starboy (PlayHouse) was able to save the dance... 3 words... "Welcome to Jamrock!" Bomb ahhhh drop!!! Folks got a nice little back in times dub session and even some old school pop later on in the night. It felt like a House Party for a minute.

All in all, It was a cool time at X-Fete... just sippin' on some brewskies, hearing some tunes and hangin' out with the usual suspects. We telling you now, definitely watch the ride for Mr PlayHouse & Generation NeX's BOUJOIX on August 27th @ Island Mix!
