Well the flyer say the fete running from 11 in the morning to 11 at night, so we plan to reach early o'clock. The problem come when its time to leave the hotel because about 100 Trinis staying at we hotel. So, everyone meeting downstairs and waiting on everyone else and all of Munich's taxis to get we to d fete! So, as we turn twice, it's about 4 o'clock and we now arriving at the scene - Hofbraukeller on the Innere Wiener Strasse 19. We tell ya, having the exact address to your destinations in Germany is key when it comes to getting around, especially when you don't speak a lick of German!

The event was in a residential area so the music could only be played up to a certain decibel level and all festivities had to be done by 11pm. So already we have some rough restrictions that Trinis not accustomed to! But we make do, after all the event was FREE! As we arrived, we felt a nice vibe. Plenty Trinis about de place, along with many other nationalities to enjoy we music, we rum and we ting.

There were drinks, drinks and more drinks. Angostura really did there part to get their rum out there, you should see the menu … "Trinibago, "Angostura LLB, 1919 Manhattan and all kinda of concocshuns using Angostura's rum. The name of the event "Share The Spirit" was most appropriate! And of course, there were beers and Mojitos passing around that were also enjoyed by most. The food was also really good. We tasted some ribs, chicken and chips and ummm ... that sauce!

Now down to the music - the show started with Ms. Triniti, a upcoming artist who has her own genre … somewhere between Reggae, Hip Hop and RnB. Actually, she recently accompanied Sean Paul on his US National Tour, as well as his overseas tour in Japan. She delivered her performance for a crowd that was just getting warmed up, so the vibes were more chill, even with Mr. Slaughter and backup dancer on stage to give that extra hype. It was a tough crowd for all the artists to deal with since Trinis not used to wining in the daylight! ;-)

Mr. Slaughter was the host and was super-entertaining, as he usually is. Next he brought on Kes. Kes did his ting and the crowd loved him, the ladies in particular. He sang popular his tunes for 2006 "Heads High" and "Stay With Me," and gave one of the ladies in the crowd a little extra treat with a wine in the crowd and then on stage. Up next, one of our favorite female Soca artists, Destra. Well, please understand that we are not exaggerating in any way when we say she mashed up de party. We mean, you could see Trinis, Germans, Brazilians, Bajans, Swedes and all kinds of other nationalities enjoying our beautiful Soca music. It was a lovely sight to see!

Destra's performance was magnificent and when she brought on "The Gladiator", yes Mr. Maximus Dan, who sang several songs but started and ended with the Soca Warriors people's choice theme song "Fighter", which has become the new TnT anthem being sung at every game, train, and hotel. Trinis couldn't help but feel good during these performances. Max's "Love Generation" was delivered and received with great emotion.

Kes, Destra and Maximus Dan along side big band Atlantik really showed the world how great Soca can make you feel. It would have been a perfect day if they allowed the DJs to play the music at the decent level after the performances wrapped up to keep the vibes going … especially since it was getting late and folks were itching to wine and get on bad. Soca Twins, we felt your pain. All in all, despite the early bright sunshine and the noise level restrictions, Angostura hosted another wicked event. They also had many giveaways - flags, t-shirts and CDs … and the Butterfly girl was a nice touch! Oh, we almost forgot to mention the bottle & spoon with improvised tassa session that went down when the fete was over. It was sooooo sweet that even a German ole lady end up knockin a butter knife on a beer mug (be sure to look at those pics). Ahhh wooooahh!!! Thanks for a great day Angostura!

We looking forward to the Brazil vs Australia match tomorrow (June 18th) … ooooohhhh those Brazilian fans, and we not's sleeping on the Aussies - they have some hotties too! Who said World Cup was just about football???!!!
