British
Gas All Inclusive fete. Well being their first time throwing a Carnival
fete, we weren't sure what people's response would be towards it considering
the huge amount of fetes for the season and the high prices... some might
need to scrutinize which ones they choose to attend.
From
the time TJJ began getting close to the Chaguaramas Golf Course, traffic
started to build up. Cars fuh so were parked on both sides of the road
from a good way off. With this much vehicles we knew there had to be tons
of people, and we eventually bounced up the masses. Scores of people were
lined up awaiting the shuttles. Oh ya oye! Line long for so. We didn't
study it though. It gave us a good chance to scope out the crowd and well
the line was moving pretty fast. There were sufficient shuttles running
quite speedily and organized on the route.
Now
touching down on the inside we were quite impressed. Nice layout and lovely
ambiance but as we glanced over to our right and saw the size of the crowd...
we were left in complete amazement. "Wooooah, look at people... you
make me wanna...... jump!!!" Ok, time check! Minutes after eight,
close to dinner time. So over to the food area we headed to check things
out. There was a wide variety to choose from and patrons were taking full
advantage. Who could give them wrong though. With plenty tasty food so,
they had to try a little of this and a little of that!
At
8:45pm Destra & Atlantik hit the stage. They were the first
of the big line up to perform. Maximus Dan also made an appearance
during Atlantik's performance. Sherwayne Winchester came on next
and delivered a brief performance which gave way to Imij and Co.
with Ghetto Flex. Machel Montano & Xtatik closed the
show, giving quite an extensive performance. With most of the top soca
stars all performing on the same stage in one night, patrons really got
their money's worth. Not mentioning that BG had one of the lowest priced
All Inclusive tickets for the season.
It
was truly an enjoyable event. If they say that first impressions are lasting
ones, then BG has definitely made a name for themselves. Excellent job
guys! You definitely have Trini Jungle Juice support and we look forward
to Energy Inclusive'07!
