Big Phat Fish 2nd Anniversary

Happy 2nd Anniversary!!! We knew it was gonna be a special night, there was just a different kinda vibe in the air. Most of us here in South Florida look forward to the 2nd Saturday of every month like its payday, we just can't wait till the next one. And with Saturday May 13th being the second anniversary celebration for Island Elite and Big Phat Fish, we felt like there was going to be a lil sumting extra on the paycheck.

Let's just say we were not disappointed at all, at all, at all. Expecting a larger than normal crowd we arrived in the dance early (first time for everything) so there was no line and no crowd at the bars. So without hesitation we lifted our spirits with some spirits and did some people watching as the crowd began to fill Big Fish from front to back. There was lots of eye candy, or as we like to say 'sweetie' for yuh eyeball. The nights are getting warmer here so the ladies are wearing a lil' bit less as the weeks go by ;-)

Things really did fall into place nicely on the night ... the music had that extra thump to it, the crowd seemed more festive, even the wait at the bars was shorter than we have come to expect at Big Fish. Now for those souls that think leaning up on the bar is a good place to lime, stueeeeeps ... buy yuh drinks and keep it moving nah man, oh gosh!

Well you know Island Elite had to come with something special for their anniversary, and tonight that was Mr. Slaughter, the artist formerly known and Dawg-E-Slaughter. He treated the crowd a very lively set of his popular hits with the crowd eagerly singing along. "Trini Jungle Juice... we Up In Dat!" A good time was had by one and all. And peoples, it don't stop there ... May is gonna be hot. How Johnathan of Island Elite call it, "The Month of Soca" or simply "Soca May." The action continues this Saturday May 20th at Masqueraders, with none other than the fire man Bunji Garlin! And definitely look out for Mr. Soul On Fire KMC later on this month for the Soca Warriors On De Road to Germany fete.
