Hearing that an event is being held at Minshall Mas Camp never seems to put a smile on our face. From TJJ's past experiences, we have attended some fetes held there that have seemed to be a little less than encouraging. We don't know if it's the promoters fault or if it's the actual venue itself. Seeing that different promoters host different parties at the same venue, it leads us to believe that the venue is somehow blight yes ... what yuh go do!
Anyhow, with this thought in the back of our minds, we journey down Westside following the Black Cat. As we buss ah park and take ah look around, we thought to ourselves, "Looks like another gloomy night out," as things seem really quiet. Aye, say what! We checked in at the door and proceeded inward. Now folks it was minutes to midnight, so when the promoter made the comment, "Fellas, allyah come down real early bwoy!", we were a lil thrown back. Hummmm like we need to adjust our party clocks, yes. Well no scene, is ah free drinks affair and we on de inside. Lets see how the vibes pick up while we have ah drink and chill for a minute.
Well we must say that between the hours of 12:30 AM and 1:30 AM the crowd size sure as hell grew fast, fast, fast! The dance had become fairly rammed out with most patrons dressed in black trying to keep with the "Dark" theme. Yeah man, the dance had lots of sexy women, and we even bounce up some of our favorite local artists such as KMC and Ataklan in de fete. Of course this is Trini, so you dun know it was top DJs like High Fidelity and Detrimental running big selections all night long. Things were quite becoming on de inside, surely making anyone who wasn't in de party most envious. At about half past three so, people definitely start freeing up. With drinks in their head and good tunes playing, if you see dance moves that start to get put down. Imagine even de bartenders willy bouncing too!! Everyone was definitely having ah time.
Things went on till a little after 5 AM. The TJJ crew really spent some good hours in this fete yes! Seeing that we were some of the first to arrive and well now, some of the last to depart, yuh definitely could have guessed... things was nice everytime!! Respect to Julius Caesar Ent.
