Ok, so we know that Halloween passed ah couple of days ago. However, if tHe CoMmiSsIon, creators & promoters of Eyes Wide Shut – Halloween says we still wearing masks, then we still wearing masks! Like they say "No Mask, No Entry!" Having a reputation of being one of the more well known and rated fetes, the event was held down at MOBS 2 this year.

Well from the time we reached, TJJ could see that things were in order. There was safe and secure parking provided on the compound of the venue itself. Nice... this meant that all those folks who worry about the safety of their vehicles, could now party stress free. We like that! In taking a couple of steps over, we were soon at de front door along with other patrons, who were all dresses in black may we add. After checking off at the door, patrons were given their masks (if you didn't have your own) and allowed in. This is where the atmosphere all changed and the Halloween theme became truly evident. Now MOBS 2 is known for being a big open air venue but you see tonight, this wasn't the MOBS 2 we know and are accustomed to. Things were definitely different and we have to give credit to the décor people. They really transformed the place to give a look and feel as though one was in a club atmosphere. Flashing disco lights, ground smoke machines and large erected white towers all gave folks the feeling that they were indoors. Its only when we felt the drizzle of the pestering rain, or occasionally glanced up and saw the moon lit sky, that we realized we were actually outdoors.

Now the crowd of this party consisted of a more mature following, which is a plus in our books! It was a premium drinks inclusive event with ample well stocked bars... yet another plus! To top it off, special mention must be made concerning the bartenders. They were the most willing and hospitable group we have seen in ah while. Food was also part of the package available. Bake and shark, corn soup and doubles vendors were all willing and able to facilitate patrons. The musical selections on the night was put down by Detrimental. Seems as though folks loved the music and definitely had a hype, because to be bussing a conga line at quarter to 5 in the morn, somebody must be doing something right!

Well aye u hear what we just say.... minutes to 5!! Time sure flew. It wasn't too long after that the party ended and most patrons left. Some did linger though, as there was talk of a live broadcast of the West Indies match on the projection screen created to the front of the party. tHe CoMmiSsIon doh stick! Thanks again Matthew, Stephen and the rest of the committee for having us. Another great one for the books. We definitely looking forward to Eyes Wide Shut Carnivale 2k7!!
