In celebration of Mother's Day 2006, Prerogative Promotions hosted "The Greatest Love Concert. " Held at the Jean Pierre Complex on Saturday 13th May, it was one part of the "Save the Music Concert Series" which promised an international cast of star-studded artists.

The show, which was geared towards an older more mature crowd promptly, began at 8:30 pm with Tobagonian pianistAnthony Williams setting things off. The legendary soul act, Harold Melville and the Blue Notes along with R&B group Atlantic Starr were the two performances that made up the first half of the night's show.

TJJ arrived at half ten though and was only able to catch the second half of the nights activities. Flame, a local group consisting of seven members, was the talent chosen to open the second half. Lead singer Sharon G. Phillips surely captivated the audience. If not by her outfit of a glittering black high slit dress, 70's Afro hairstyle and white fur boots, then definitely by her energy, sweet voice and ability to connect with the crowd. Flame recited songs such as 'I'm Every Woman,' 'September,' 'Wind and Fire' and 'I Will Survive.'

After a brief intermission, Regina Belle was the next performance. Singing hits such as 'Baby Come To Me,' 'For the Love of You' and 'If I Could,' she had the audience hanging onto every note she sung. After Regina’s performance, the DJ took over and began playing classics which seemed to stimulate some patrons, encouraging them to get up and dance a little. At 12:45 am British sensation and the man of the hour Maxi Priest took the stage. Whole heartily welcomed by all, Maxi is know to be a favorite amongst the ladies, evident by the loud screams heard from all areas of the crowd as he graced the stage.

Accompanying Maxi was Jamaican artist Redd Foxx who also did a couple numbers with him. Maxi, who gave quite a full and extensive performance, did almost 16 of his top hits. Songs such as 'Just A Little Bit Longer,' 'I Believe,' 'Some Guys Have All The Luck,' 'Set The Night To Music,' 'Wild World,' and 'House Call' were some just to name a few, out of his big line up. Loved and admired by many, Maxi definitely delivered a performance to all mothers that would make their special day Mother's Day a truly Happy one.
