Well what can we say? Island Elite knows how to satisfy de people. "Masqueraders" was no exception, thanks to some partnering with a group from Trinidad calling themselves "Eclypse Entertainment". Although the numbers that turned out on this night were not quite what we have been used to at Big Phat Fish, the several hundred feters that showed up had a blast.

Bunji Garlin performed at least 8 to 10 of this biggest hits, including "Bomb Song", "Fete is Fete", "From de Ghetto" and a few others. We could bare keep track as he unleashed them one after de next. Bunji did come on a bit late ... into the wee hours of the morning, but he was definitely worth the wait. Boi ! What a performance! Not to be left out, Faye-Ann Lyons gave us an unexpected surprise when she decided to step on stage an perform a few songs of her own. "Eveeeerybody start de jumpin, start de wavin, start de winin ... everybody ... That Is Carnival!"

So Forward Ever, Backward Never, we looking towards Part III of Soca May '06 ... Soca Warriors On De Road to Germany on Sat May 27th. We are definitely looking forward to see if KMC can top this trilogy of fetes which so far has featured "The artist formally know as Dawg-E-Slaughter," now going by "Mr. Slaughter", and of course Mr. Bunji Garlin.

We came, we drank, we saw and we sweat dong de place, thanks to the Fiyeeerrr Man. This is South FL Trini Jungle Juice signing out!
