This event has been one that is no stranger to the Trini's in the UK... "Miss Trinidad and Tobago UK".

The Launch party for the 2006 crown took place at Bar 38, St Clare's House in the heart of the city of London. Present was eleven girls avenging the crown for 2006, Remi Adesanye representing Barataria, Eutris Applewhite - Miss Port of Spain, Heidi Bancroft - Miss Fyzabad, Tovalin Bartholomew - Miss Five Rivers (Arouca), Eleanor Downer - Miss Lapinot, Sahara Simms - Miss San Fernando, Nicole Lancaster - Miss Paramin, Rachael Nancoo - Miss Point Fortin, Sheena Pantin - Miss Eldorado, Chandani Persad - Miss St. Augustine and Crystal Romeo representing Tobago.

The night got off to a slow start as was expected with events of this sort, but as the girls made their entrance to the public in their stunning red gowns they surly set the crowd aloud. Presenting was Alafair Celestine, a woman of great talent, who also competed for the 2004 crown.

Angela Cox, one of the founders, was surely happy with the performance and the turn out... even though she was under stress, she definitely knew how to hide it. Also present were Miss T&T UK 2004 and 2005, together with the contestants for Miss Caribbean and Commonwealth 2006 and Coco P, one of the UK's up and coming comedians.
