TJJ arrived on the scene from as early as 10:15 pm. Getting to this "pristine location" was easy with the plethora of Kangaroo X-ing signs which littered the entrance to Pier 2 in Chaguaramas.

Upon reaching, parking was most adequate with full security in effect. Now Pier 2 being the docking port for the Treasure Queen, gave us the opportunity to scope out the vibes of Boat Cruise 3. This was one of several fetes taking place on the same night along the Chaguaramas stretch. From the looks of things, it seemed like we were headed in the correct direction. Outback 5 ... here we come!!

Entrance into the fete was smooth as only quarter of the nights expected turnout was there at this time. The entrance to the venue was alight with a true Australian Outback touch, complete with don't feed the animals signs and all. In de earlies, DJs High Fidelity/Less and Zero tore up the dance playing selections favored by all. At midnight there was even some entertainment from three male flambeau dancers. In ending their performance, it made way for local reggae sensation Prophet Benjamin. At the time he blessed the stage, the party was now reaching its prime. Looking around, we could see how the crowd had grown within the last 2 hours. The venue was packed!

Prophet's repertoire began with some of his more well known songs with the finale being his latest hit "Delilah On The Loose." He definitely got the crowd in an upbeat interactive mood with a parody of the male version of Delilah On The Loose, much to the appreciation of the crowd. Next to take the stage was Maximus Dan, entering in a shower of sparks and smoke. He made sure to remind us of our Football passion and ending his stint with a tribute to our Soca Warriors representing in Germany much to the crowds cheers. The rest of the morning saw a sound clash between sound systems Detrimental and XTC.

TJJ's pointers of what made this event great:

- 3 strategically positioned "well stocked" bars. One on either side of the stage, and one to the rear of the venue.
- Food was on sale. Hot wings, burgers ... the usual at reasonable prices.
- Chances to win tickets to Tribe 2006 Launch and Motorola cell phones.
- Excellent security within the venue. Both fire and police officials, as well as, Outback Security.
- Big screens at the rear of the stage and off to the right for people in the back.
- Excellent washroom facilities (Porta Potties) for both male and female.
- Premium drinks such as Scotch, Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Wine and Cocktails all night long without much of a wait.

On the down side however, the washrooms ran out of water to wash hands by 2 am. All in all, definitely an excellent pre-summer fete!!!
