The party was carded to start at eleven p.m. so TJJ, as prompt as we are, were on the scene. Tonight it was Essence Entertainment's party which they called "Urges... With or with out whip Cream". Hmmm, with a name like that one can only imagine.

For one thing, you couldn't miss the venue in St. Clair because there was a spotlight that illuminated a great deal of the street outside of the party. The hosts of the event were more than visible. They were uniformed in a kind of leprechaun green color jersey with "Am I your Urge?"printed on them. Now at a little after 11 PM, there wasn't too many people on the inside. However, just by looking at the settings one could tell this party would eventually score. Everything was white - a table was situated in the left hand corner with nuff sweets and chocolates.... "The Urge to Taste". Just looking at them made you feel as though you were gaining weight. :-)

The bar stood under a white tent, and to crown it off... a table with free food (aahhh we're in heaven now)!! There was Geera pork, hor d'oeuvres and wings. Also not forgetting to mention, even ah doubles man on standby. So we decided to chill by the bar, hoping to take full advantage of the 2-4-1 specials. However, unfortunately our first order took a full "five minutes" to come by, bearing in mind we were the only people at the bar and the party wasn't in full swing as yet. Maybe the bartenders had to get warmed up first, who knows??!!

With the vibes being mellow, we waited a while for the partygoers, who streamed in a little after twelve. Some in one's, some in two's and some in groups. As the party started to hype up, we took pictures of a variety of people and socialites. Unfortunately we missed out on the opportunity to capture a picture of the now ever so popular CNC3 reporter, Samson Nanton, who seemed to be having an 'urge' of ah time. Hehe.

The crowd enjoyed the music of the DJ's, the service with a smile by the hosts as they served appetizers and the well stocked bar. What else could one ask for on a cool Saturday night? Hold up! Wait! How could we forget the confetti man who showed us his talent as he went through the party spurting confetti out of a big black box that was strapped to his back (cover your cups people or you just might be drinking confetti and vodka!!). With our 'urges' satisfied by chocolates, food and drinks, not to mention a lil' "Dutty Wine" and "Willie Bounce", TJJ prepared to make our way out. As we geared up to depart, there were still "party cleaners" who boogied to the back in times soca that was playing. Normally around this time, they run people out a dance by playing slows, but it was like they were encouraging them to stay till eight in the morning! Well we made our exit after 4 AM with some hot doubles to carry us through our journey home. Big up to Stephan and all de Essence Entertainment crew.

Doubles man, "Two to go, slight pepper!!"
