Yes, Trinidad Carnival 2007 was SWWEEEET too bad, boy lemme tell yuh how TJJ cry like ah baby during las' lap Carnival Tuesday night, anyways TJJ had to find somewhere to go to start passing some time till next year Carnival, and what better way to do that than spending a nice week in Grenada after Carnival.... yes sun, sand and more rum!

Grenada, the Spice Isle, is a mere thirty minute flight from Trinidad and is an island filled with warm and hospitable peoples, willing and ready to welcome and offer the Carnival partygoers a place to rest their head and unwind from a hectic season. Grenada has a fairly quiet nightlife, especially when compared to other islands, however, this doesn't mean that there is none... there is Club Bananas!

Club Bananas is located in True Blue, St. Georges and is actually a restaurant and a nightclub, so when yuh hungry and feel to get a really great meal either Caribbean or international in flavour, and then want to dance the night away with the breeze of the Prickly Bay in your face, then Bananas is the place to go.

TJJ was fortunate to be able to attend the once a month 'Drinks Inclusive' night on February 24th, and to experience the true feel of a Grenada Lime/Fete. The music was pumping with all of the 2007 Soca and Reggae, so yuh know, it was like Carnival all over again.... and in Caribbean stylin' fete went til 5am. Everyone came out in their finest dan dan and only had one thing on their mind... having fun, the bar was packed with what felt like ole friends jus having a great time especially seeing the owner, Roger Spronk and club manager/promoter Bobby Steele mingling and limin' with the partygoers.... yes real nice.

TJJ had a great time at Club Bananas and extends a big Thank You to the management and local friends for making this night a great time.... next stop on the TJJ Grenada party train..... Grand Anse Beach to rest up. Weeeee boy, smell that nutmeg!
