With memories of C2K7 still fresh in the minds of those who not to long returned from the 2007 Fetealotathon®. And the blurred images fast fading from the memory of those of us who can't remember to take our Ginkgo Biloba vitamins, Big Phat Fish could not have come at a better time. Of course the 2nd Saturday of the month of March was just in time to satisfy the urges to hear "Jumbie" once again pounding from an 8 foot wall of speakers, and though the drinks truck was now replaced with a bar and the mug replaced with a small plastic cup, this would give us the fix we so badly needed.

Now there always seems to be something going on in and around Big Phat Fish, and this month it was the Daylight Savings Time bug. Not nearly as dreaded as Y2K, we were only concerned that we would be losing an hour of precious fete time, but a quick call to Island Elite's Troyus Maximus and our fears were alleviated, as he informed TJJ that we will 'fete till ah morning!' Nice, so we dan it up and headed South on the 95 till we reached El Segundo, oops sorry ah mean Big Fish. We managed to get there before 1AM which you know for us is early, there line was short and moving quickly and we were quite surprised to see that quite a number of folks were already on the inside. With it being this early the restaurant side of Big Fish was still open so everyone was gathered to the right by the central bar and DJ stage, new to us fuss we never reach so early. Also it seemed that the volume on the music was turned down a bit lower than usual, creating a very social atmosphere. That would soon be rectified with the opening of the rear portion of the restaurant to allow more space for the numbers of folks that just kept showing up, and also to let the socialites move out the way of the real party people.... and this month there seemed to be more of them. Maybe it was Spring Break, or maybe it was those poor souls who were not able to attend TnT Carnival 2007 coming out to get their little taste of it.

Well by now music turn up, dancing circle has formed, numerous drinks have made its way through the blood system and party vibzing nice nice. We not sure why, but when yuh come back from Carnival and hear them tunes again yuh does wine a lil bit harder, jump ah lil bit higher, and yuh does Rock so and Dip so a lil bit lower. Could be the memories of which fete yuh was in when yuh last taking in that song? Who knows?

As usual, BPF turned out to be as expected and a good time was had by all, except those ladies that got into a little skirmish. Smallie that threw that right hand, ah calling you "Million Dollar Baby" next time ah see you!! Then ah ducking ;-)
