Well we can’t remember when last or as a matter of fact if ever we pulled up to 51 degrees in jeans, t-shirt and sneakers. This was the case this Saturday as we arrived at the Big Phat Fish party. Now the fete was advertised to be at the Trini Posse Stand in the Oval, but had a last minute change in venue. Let's hope all the patrons got the memo!

Reaching at about minutes to 1 AM, we browsed past the beach sand, coconuts and other related paraphernalia to make our way upstairs. Well if you thought T-shirt and sneakers were a little below the club’s regular dress code, the beach shorts, hats and flip flops would have definitely thrown you into a fit... lol! Cah blame the patrons ... the party did have a beach theme! Now we feeling over dressed!! :-)

At this hour we were expecting the club to be packed, but however it was disappointedly not. The music was good however and the ambience as usual went with the theme. Blue and white fish nets lined the roof and over head trimmings complimented with coconut branches and all. Local Reggae celeb Marlon Asher and entourage (photo) even passed through, celebrating a special occasion of their own. Did you check out his new video for "Shorty" yet? It's on TJJ TV!

Things pretty much didn't change over the next hour and a half as regards the crowd. Folks were anticipating that after the some other concert taking place earlier, that crowd traffic might pick up. We didn't stick around to chance tings, and bussed de tape around 2:30 AM. We calling it an early night.... D’local Juice.
