Bunji Garlin, two-time International Soca Monarch, was in NYC to promote his new album, 'Global,' and shoot his new video for popular track “Brrrt” (off the Bobby Konder’s March Out riddim). The new video was a 2 day, 2 location shoot. Having missed the first day, we weren't going to stick on Day 2.

Schedule for 1pm-6pm, we arrived in Manhattan around 3:30pm. The shoot was being done inside Club T-NY, and was well on it's way when we got on the set. This was my 1st time on set for a Caribbean music video shoot, so it was actually pretty cool to see the lights, cameras, action in person. Bunji was on the dance floor surrounded by the video models, dancers and extras; while Fay Ann Lyons-Alvarez was on the 1s and 2s overlooking everything. It wasn't too long before Fay Ann got in the middle of the action demonstrating why Trini women win when it comes to waistline movements. We weren't on the set long enough to determine the actual concept of the video, but can tell you that there was ah supposed 'bad man' with two cuties on his side that appeared to be walkin large and talkin big talk to Garlin. Then there was a dance-off between two groups.... one group dressed in all while and the other group in all black. Besides the wicked dance moves we saw, we must say that the highlight for the day was the look on Bunji's face as the make-up artist applied the blush on his face between sets. Bunji, we feel for ya breds!

We have no clue what the final product will look like, but sure it will be HOT! TJJ should have the debut of "Brrrt" music video mid June, so stand by. 'Global' features Bunji’s signature blend of Dancehall, Soca and Reggae and is in-stores.... get your copy today! Luv goes out to Edwin, Max, Tiffany and the rest of the VP Records family.

Chooks... gone to catch the A Train!
