Up and again TJJ exploring the nightlife in Trinidad and Tobago on a weekday and found something new, located a few streets up Ariapita Avenue or more precise, just opposite Crobar was the newest edition to TnT's nightlife, “Coco Lounge”.

What was once a tyre shop has been transformed into a luxurious lounge by new owner, Ronnie Moses (also the owner of Crobar). This clearly explains the decision to have both establishments with in such close proximity. We arrived at the scene about 7 PM, normal guest list routine and in we were. The ambiance inside certainly was posh. There was a big center area or dance floor and a bar to the front. On the walls were also “No Smoking” signs indicating a smoke free zone inside. The outside was quite different, with an open patio overlooking the scenic avenue and other liming spots; well equipped with it's own bar to the left.

As expected, there was something else to reveal that was more V.V.I.P, and there it was... the upstairs lounge, which can be rented upon request. But it's Trinidad, you don’t have to be Brian Lara (who was also present) to rent it... once de money there, you there! While soaking in the ambiance, folks enjoyed complimentary drinks and finger foods.

As usual, loads of local stars and celebs were present for the opening. Brian Lara, Johnny Soong (checking out his competition.... hehe), Hypa Hoppa, The Amateurs (Che & Ravin), Benny Hatem, a couple members of the W.I. cricket team and several other prominent business folks. Even the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves was present, mingling with everyone casual as ever.

We believe that things were officially suppose to wrap up at about 2 AM, but around quarter past one, after socializing and liming de night away we decided to call it a night. Coco Lounge... yet another option to T&T’s diverse nightlife. So folks, if you all looking to take a little lime somewhere and a bit fed up of the norm, head up to de COCO.
