the 6th of its kind, Contagious was once again held on the compound of St. Mary's
College. The TJJ crew was cordially invited, and as such, thought it only right
that we passed through and showed some luv. Now being a school related event,
things were carded to kick off quite early... 6:30 PM!! In our books, that's the
time we find ourselves now thawing out from de night before. So
it's no mystery to say that we not as punctual as folks might have expected us
to be. Our bad!! Rolling in at about 7:30 PM, it was straight into action for
us as the fashion show was already on de way. The largely constructed catwalk
ran its course down nearly halfway through the audience giving all a good opportunity
to see the many teen models sporting the various fashions and styles. We only
got a brief 15 minute viewing of the action that took place during the fashion
show, but from the looks of things, it seemed like a sold out event that was enjoyed
by all. Next
up was the After Party. Here is where all those young folks were hoping to relieve
some stress and break away ah lil' bit. Opening the show was Ziggy Ranking
who warmed things up in de earlies. Dance group Unique Style then took
the stage and did a little performance while DJ Marcus and Titan
controlled the 1s & 2s. Not too long after, official hosts of
the after party Kris-Michael Remy Drakes and Jason Williams then
continued to entertain and hype the crowd. Now
the secession was supposed to continue until 12 AM but we left a bit earlier,
and as such didn't get the opportunity to see some of the other surprise guest
artists that passed through such as Umi Marcano, Michelle Sylvester
and Terry Seals. We are sure that these artists would have only added to
the delight of the crowd, whose energy levels were really soaring tonight. Big
up to all CIC massive and crew. D'
local Juice signing out. |
