I catch de basic message of de person on de line while my eyes rapidly adjusted and body awakened to de sideways visuals of some kinda maneuver on de Skin-a-Max... oh ah mean Cinemax, actually it was after midnight, so that makes it Skin-a-Max!

So splash ah water in meh face and bout 1 in de AM, ah was slipping thru de back as discretely as a man wit a massive SLR camera, big flash in a back pack could. Of course Klimaxx staff escort meh... and if yuh ent believe meh, try yuhself and see if de human mountain of lil' Steve doh send ya in de reverse direction in an uncomfortable position.

Well anyhow... with beer in hand and finger on de shutter release, ah was ready to take a wine. What I like about de Klimaxx party is two things. Yuh could count on wicked chunes from either DJ Hazzard or Spyda, and besides de regulars, de party’s reputation does always have some island tourist... i.e. those who was looking, hear bout and show up for ah Caribbean party. Ram Dass does seldom not be in de mood to break in a nubie! First pass through de already packed crowd and de Haitian and Jamaican posse, despite being guests of a Trini friend, good holding down de dance floor. Ah reach de front bar and is more smallies... click, click, click… flash, flash... wine, wine ... ah coming back.

I did notice ah slight difference in some of de party’s attendees... and it was explained by the special guest of de night... all de way from Diego Martin, Trinidad it was de Radioactive featuring Hypa Hoppa… so de reason why de Trini’s was breezin' while all other islanders was wining down de place in de earlies like J'ouvert morning... was revealed once... de I Sasha dub plate spin out... ah murrrrrda. Everybody sing along, "Don't you know your love is...."

Party was sweet... ah hear all meh chunes and even though ah wasn't in Bim this year, NY Labor Day bring meh current and Fresh Fete selectors make meh feel like ah was there again.

Ah did have plans even though ah was sleeping earlier... so @ bout 2:30am TJJ solo team bus de tape.
