With 4 previously successful events under their belts for 2007, the guys at SocaWeb.com & sixAxis Ent are quietly staking their claim to the 1st Saturday night of every month. Folks are now starting to look forward to FRIENDS, and it's becoming a "Must See Party" on the South Florida nightlife scene. Be that as it may, the first Saturday in August of 2007 was a hard one for anybody to claim as their own because there was were some major events taking place around the globe. There was ATI Weekend in Jamaica, Crop Over in Barbados, Caribana in Toronto and even a Jazz Festival in St Croix. Would there be anybody left in South FL to attend the parties? Indeed many of the other regular events for this first weekend were cancelled do to the partygoers, and even the promoters themselves, being out of town. Knowing that they try to bring something new every time we have to say a Ladies Nite Out theme was the way to go, and to ensure the ladies come out they were admitted FREE all night long...... and boy did they come out!!! And where the ladies are, you know the fellas will follow!

Sosta Lounge in downtown Hollywood is quickly becoming the newest hotspot for the upscale crowd, which is a perfect fit for FRIENDS, the party for the 25 and older crowd. Now it seems the draw of Crop Over was too much to resist, and C.I.Dee Sounds was off to Barbados leaving Major Links to hold down the fort, and as we have all come to know, they are more than capable. Also DJ Nigel made a guest appearance to lend his skills to keep the party jumping. So the ladies are in the house, and the music is off the chain, the bartenders still mixing the drinks ‘too’ strong, but we ain't go say nothing if you don't. The only thing missing is the door prize and giveaways we have come to expect at FRIENDS, but once again they did not disappoint. It seems almost everybody born in August ‘cause there were a lot of ladies celebrating their birthdays. Our own Sig Juice was off duty and partying hearty, very hearty indeed, must have been her 21st!! lol. She was presented with dinner for two at Sosta Lounge. DJ Rambo was in the house and presented another lucky young lady with two tickets to the upcoming Mug Fest All Inclusive (Sept 15th). Still no prizes for the fellas, but say wha, if the ladies happy then we happy!

Now it has come to our attention, ‘cause you know we have the inside scoop, that there will not be a FRIENDS event next month on Sat Sept 1st, BUT HOLD ON before you get vex and ask how they could do that??!! You know how it goes..... all shows must go on hiatus during the summer, but instead of bring you reruns SocaWeb.com and sixAxis Ent are bringing us a special event..... the 1st Annual Back in Times party!!! We hear it's gonna be nothing bout 80s and 90s music all night long!! Now those sessions that CIDee and Major Links does tease us with during FRIENDS will last from start to finish. So get ready to bus dust off your conductor pants and put some fat laces in yuh suede Pumas.
