It's the 2nd year for our friends at ISLANDpeople Mas giving masqueraders that full All-Inclusive Mas experience. And just as last year, after hosting their 2007 Band Launch for their "Sahara" presentation, everyone fell immediately in love with their costumes and wanted to sign up one time. So what was the IP Mas 2007 experience like? Well, to be totally honest we cannot really give you the full details (at least not right now) as our TJJ Crew that covered the band for the entire time last year didn't make it this year. So we will be getting some feedback from the rest of the crew, friends and other masqueraders that actually played mas with ISLANDpeople to share with you.

We've reached the grand finale of the Fetealotathon® and you know we cannot leave you all without photos of this BIG mas band and their HOT masqueraders! And what sexy masqueraders they had indeed.... both men and women looked happy with what they had to work with on de road! Our camera lens were smiling too!! ;-) We even heard comments while sitting in the Licensing Office (St. James) a couple days after Carnival, from two girls who were looking at their on de road pics with ISLANDpeople Mas such as, "It's like every woman in ISLANDpeople had big bumsee! Hehe." Okay, we getting ah lil' off track here. LOL. Bap bap, we link up TRIBE on Stanmore Ave for 7:30AM for breakfast and guess what? ISLANDpeople was assembling one block over. So nice, we didn't have to run down to the National Stadium to catch them. Linked up our IP Media passes, and "A" was for action.

We covered the band from uptown, all the way down St. Vincent Street (we think that was the street) to the Independence Square (Brian Lara Promenade) where the downtown POS judging point was. We're not sure if it was still early for masqueraders to 'get on bad', but everyone didn't seem to be a full Carnival spirit just yet. Even as the sections crossed the judging point, masqueraders didn't seem pumped up and excited. We know for a fact that the majority of masqueraders missed having the main stage in the Savannah this year, and even though they made the best of the situation.... mas on the roads alone in TnT brings no real CLIMAX and ADRENALINE RUSH that comes when crossing de big Savannah stage!!! Could you even being to imagine thousands and thousands of masqueraders crossing the Savannah stage to Machel's "Jumbie"??!!! NCC (National Carnival Commission), please get your act together for 2008 and beyond please. The last time we checked, TnT Carnival is TnT's biggest tourist attraction and provides a major injection of revenue to our nation! Sorry to digress from the review, but we needed to vent some of our Carnival frustrations!

After ISLANDpeople crossed the 1st judging point, we circled back to catch TRIBE. No worries, you have close to 400 photos for ISLANDpeople Mas Tuesday to watch. We real efficient ya know!! ;-) Throughout the day, one would catch IP masqueraders in TRIBE and vice-versa.... so doh blame us if your photo end up in de wrong Carnival gallery because you were busy gallivanting in different mas bands! Hehe. We must large up Minmi from Japan, Maximus Dan, Barry (Jugglers Sound) and DJ Spice (NY) who were all on a IP music truck keeping the Carnival revellers pumped up. DJ Spice was real getting on that drum machine too.... some serious live road mixes to "Jumbie", "Cold Sweat" and even Mr. Vegas "Hot Wuk", yes! Even Maximus had to stop and take in the styles.

So before we sign off, here's what we'll do since we didn't get a chance to eat and drink and properly soak in the All Inclusive experience of ISLANDpeople Mas 2007..... please share your feedback on your 2007 ISLANDpeople experience in our brand new TriniJungleJuice.com Blog!!
