LIGHT SUGAR ... Part II of the recently held Sugar @ Nemo's. So sweet it was ... from the fresh fruit and doubles at dawn to hot female DJ JuJu twistin' some knobs for her debut, Light Sugar lived up to its billing as another sprinkle of sweetness in an ocean of passa passa and VIP bourgeois-ness.

'Dance and have Fun' is the name of the game here, as the Elements crew treated us to the biggest house/dance DJ's in the country. Even man like Kern Crosby (Less Than Zero) and XTC pulled through after seven in the morning to rig up and buss some heavy baseline rollers. The biggest tunes for the night were once again played by DJs Darrin, Zonerz aka CK, Val and Lyndon. DJ Darrin has such a stash of heavy tunes, that he would probably have had to use a crane to bring them all into the club. The one downside of having such a heavy cast of DJs was hearing the same tunes played by most of the DJs, so the Chillout, Electro, Downtempo, Trance, Tec and Hard House music did get a bit repetitive at times.

The advised dress code was “FUNKYER & CRAZYER”, and bwoy did we see some of that! Check out the guy's outfit that won the Most Outrageous Outfit competition (photos 6 & 7). Guess when they said “Don't be square come in your Crazy or Funky ware,” some folks definitely made de effort to comply!

Now the dance was a bit light on people with the woman to man ratio not being too favourable. However, we must mention that there was an improvement in overall security and a smoother running bar since the last event. Our verdict... sweet tunes, a bit of a salty dance. We still looking forward to the next kind of Sugar.
