The Foam Continues...
We goin' round de country covering fetes.... fete after after after after fete! It was straight to Wudadah from Baje Jouvert, and this was the 3rd consecutive day for some of us seeing the sun rise - and it was taking it's toll as Big W was snoring up a storm on the car ride. Quarter to six, and we on de verge of pulling straws in the car park to decide if the TJJ Party Caravan making this stop or not.... laaaawd is bun we bun.
5 mins later.... we inside Tyrol Cot with drinks in hand! Morning, morning! The fete was ram, with partygoers coming and leaving at the same time Besides the all night Wudadah crowd, there was a steady influx of Baje and Fore Day Morning J'Ouvert revellers coming in.... yes, apparently we were not the only Soka Junkies on the isle!! ;-)
With tiredness setting in, and the hot sun starting to bear down, it was a lil' tough for us to truly enjoy all the festivities. But, that didn't stop the other feters from wukking up (in more foam) as they enjoyed the live entertainment by artists such as Mr. Dale ("Soka Junkie") and John Mahammeed ("Curry Wine"). We must make mention of TJJ Fete Guidelines - Page 37 - Paragraph 3 - Section II. "If a male entertainer asks folks to come on stage during his performance, he really means only women!" John, you might have to be more specific next time breds.
It was nice vibes as we met new frens and caught up with some ole time frens of the Jungle... Carla, it was nice bouncing up! Oh, there was one small fight, but that was quickly handled by security - tight security in ah party is a good ting!
7:30am..... time to buss de tape. We leaving behind TRW and crew to hold tings down... after all, dem sleep all nite before reaching de party! If we didn't mention it before, we mus big up our homeboy Kamal for taking care of TJJ right thru for the entire Crop Over weekend. We luv ya like our grandmother Sunday cook food dreddy!
