On a regular Tuesday night here in this twin island, ISLANDpeople hosted a moderate little function themed "CLEAR". In this short but sweet gathering, founding member Derrick Lewis, who held the spotlight for most of the evening, enlightened invited guests about the past, present and future of his vision and brainchild concept, ISLANDpeople, making certain things 'clear' to all.

He began speaking about the inception of ISLANDpeople and how the dream came to life, all the way to what the future held, humouring folks with his stories, which contained bits of irony and wit, stirring a laugh or two ever so often. During this time, guest all enjoyed a complimentary bar and hor derves, which were being circulated.

Derrick then touched on how creative and gifted we Caribbean people are, running slides of many local and international celebrities who all touched the soils of this blessed land, nearly all of whom passed through at least one of the many ISLANDpeople themed events.

ISLANDpeople donated $10,000 to a charitable cause promising to donate this same amount after each of their future themed events. Lucky guests then had a chance at several door prizes, which included tickets to upcoming IP events. Dance group Elle Incorporated then were invited to do a dance recital which opened the way for the closing toast.
