It's Mother's Day weekend in the big apple (NY), and for most of us this means Buju Banton will be in the Garden. This year however, Devonish Promotions had an all star line up with reggae icons Barrington Levy and Super Cat added to the bill. We were really excited about this one.

When we finally got inside MSG, Buju Banton was performing. Apparently we missed Barrington, who was first to perform. The crowd was loving Buju, as he sang his oldies that were definitely goodies, some of his newer hits, along with one of TJJ's personal favorites "Driver". Buju also brought out a few surprise guest artists like Tarrus Riley and Wayne Wonder. Tarrus really rocked the house with his hit "She's Royal". You should of seen me singing my heart out!! *lol*

After Gargamel's segment was over, the MSG crowd enjoyed a brief intermission with Eurp, a new and upcoming dancehall artist. Well yuh done know I was clicking my fingers ... I love that chune!! That was actually my favorite part of the concert, only because I got to thief a lil' wine... hehe.

Before we knew it the event was about to wrap up when the infamous Super Cat came on stage. Well boy, all I can say is, he probably was a sailor before he started his reggae career ... if yuh hear cuss words for days!! *lol* The crowd still loved him ... come on, he is the original "Don Dadda"!! Everyone was well flexing while he sang some of his monster hits like "Ghetto Red Hot" and "Boops" and "Cabin Stabin".

Although we didn't manage to enjoy the full concert, it's was great seeing West Indian people support the culture and the music. Happy Mother's Day!!
