Hey peeps it's me again, Ms MD on the inside bringing d' scoop on the weekend's bacchanal. Yuh girl went out in full force with meh crew to the PoisonUK 2k8 Band Launch party. The weather threatened the night, holding back some people, but for those true, true 'socanatics' ... the vibe was sweet with DJ's Markie, Gladiators and Alicia D' Duchess direct from Trinidad, keeping the music pumping. If it's one thing that can be said, is doh matter who or how much people on the dance floor in a PoisonUK fete, they does make it happen!

We felt the atmosphere change as the excited patrons gathered closer to the stage to see the PoisonUK presentation for Notting Hill Carnival 2008. Their sections came out announced by PoisonUK's very own Konata aka "Sweet Ras" as ah hear the girls call him (**wink wink** ... lol). Ok, enough ah dat stupidness ... as ah was saying, the sections came across the stage representing their camp, exclusively wining and grinding. The Morris Roots Posse showed off their "Earth" costumes in full flare - the khaki top, shorts, shirts and ah think ah even see ah khaki bra cross that stage gyrating to the sweet Soca. This section is what ah go call a keeper, because ladies, this costume could buss ah recycle and wear to ah good fete after the Carnival too!!! Naturally sexy!!

And as ah mention sexy, what allyuh thought about them Gyal Farm gals? Well .... Yeee Haaaaar!!! Meet we on the farm, the "Forbidden Farm" .... Mr. Chucky (as his friends call him) and company "The Gyal Farm" crew showed us just how sexy the farm could get, and there was no sight of "Old Mc Donald"!! Get it? Old Mc ... anyway back to the importance. With gyals in an option of chocolate or a strawberry delight pink cow print costume, and the guys in Farmer Brown or as they call it in London, "jumpers", they pulled off the farmin' thing with authentic straw hats as they brought their 'jammishness' on the stage. This section has that sexy potential factor to it!

And then the crème a la crème came out. The PoisonUK models in full colour and full splendour showing off their 2k8 pretty costume as popularly called. I managed to get a close up behind the scene "paparazzi shots" ... lemme say, dey look good! Ah little Trini Carnival feeling hit meh in meh chest, yes! The "Garden of Eden" section with a fusion of green and yellow plumes (feathers) enhancing the rest of the costume brought the garden to life with every wine.

Doh talk about the pink section, "Paradise". Ladies, if you are looking for ah little more coverage below the belt, this is the option to choose. At least for the front, as the back is for the wine ... so doh study it!! Hehe. As I was sayin', the brightly coloured pink costume would highlight yuh curves ladies no matter how bubble-licious you are.

So that was d' night - sweet soca, slammin' costumes and ah little sweet Trini food compliments of Joanne's Pot. It was my first official Notting Hill 2k8 Carnival fete, and ah must say, it was most entertaining and left me wanting more. So yuh know, ah go see yuh at the Trini vs. England football match, and then on to the next fete!

It was nice macoin' for allyuh ... AH GONE!
