A little after the midway point of the 2009 band launching season, Pulse8 presented their presentation for Carnival 2k9, "Hot Hot Hot - Sizzle & Burn". As quoted, "HOT...HOT...HOT – Sizzle & Burn is a fiery expression of the explosion of the hottest taste, hottest places and hottest happening as it relates to the heat sensation."

So it's Sunday evening ... it's a little rainy, but that ent stopping the turn out for this event. Strolling in about 9pm we were in the nick of time to catch the main presentation. From the entrance, it was straight to the stage to capture this "HOT" selection. Each costume was modeled by some of the sexiest, luscious women of T&T, and they all made a statement.

For 2008, the mas band presents a numbers of sections - with each section representing a level of hotness. Caliente (Toda de Bom), Spicy Wasabi (Hot and Spicy), Flamin' Sambuca (A Fiery Knockout), Hot Tamale (Too Hot To Handle), Hot Ice (Hot To The Touch), Sexy Samba (A Sizzling Sensation), Explosive Ember (A Hot Bite), Pepperpot (Smoke Like It Hot), Bush Fire (Hot, Hot, Hot) and last but not least, Tombouctou (Scorching Hot).

The presentation lasted for about 40mins, and by that time, the party was in full swing and everyone was ready to fete - it was like a pre-carnival unleashed. Drinks were inclusive and doubles and corn soup served at your convenience. The DJ's for the night included Ishmael "The Demolition Man", Third Bass and Richard Simply Smooth, who all kept the vibes going. Partygoers, and soon to be masqueraders of this band, were most happy as they enjoyed themselves to the music, food and presentation. Everything wrapped up around midnight, but folks were still chipping to the music, and some remained on the stage dancing and wukking up until the Stag Rhythm Section ended the fun.

Signing out D, Young Juice alongside Turere, and Zeke
