Hey Honey Bunches of Oats! Seasons Greetings everyone! As Scrunter would say, "De Parang Now Start!!" Tonight we're headed to Rango's 2nd Annual Christmas Parang Cruise. Now I don't know if I was impatient, but oh my goodness ... it had rhell traffic on the road to get there. It took about a good half hour to reach by the pier. That's the holiday season in NYC for ya!

Well, finally we were on board the Temptress Yacht. But why was everyone sitting around as if they were at a tea party? I didn't waste no time nah ... it was an All Inclusive, and I headed straight to the bar to see what 'Christmasy' drinks were being served!! And Dr. Ram Dass mentioned punch-a-creme on de boat last year (see coverage)!! smile I was basically limin' near the bar until the boat was ready to pull off, which was around 10:30pm (yes, CPT - Caribbean People Time). According to the DJ (who wasn't set up yet), the delay was because the Parang band was missing a few pieces of equipment. Next ting yuh know, music stop and somebody yell out, "De cassette stop or wah!?" *lol* Not even CD, it's cassette dey say, yes!

As usual, Rango went all out with the food. It was a feast. Oh my goodnes ... food for days!! You just name, it they had it. Big up to chef Toyo and fam for their sweet hand once again! One thing, that callaloo was peppery ... OMG!!! My mouth was on fire!! *lol*

Alright.. by the time my belly full, everyone was off of their chairs and in the center of the boat (main dance area) enjoying the sweet, sweet Parang. Question ... "Where's the Parang band?" I was a tad confused when I didn’t see a band performing. Remember I mentioned the late start because of M.I.A Parang equipment? Oh well ... meanwhile deejay Untouchables was killing the dance with chunes. It reminded me of my Baazar days in school boy. When I catch myself, the boat was pulling back into the pier, and they apologized on behalf of the Parang band. Some equipment was still missing and they weren't able to perform. There's always next year guys!
