Serani Mesmerizes New York Audience

OMG! First of all, outside cold like dog nose! No seriously ... it RHELL cold in NY! Maybe it's because I decide to wear ah piece a pants when it's like 0 degrees outside??!! T.G.I.F and we're headed to the Base Night Club in Brooklyn.

The Base is not our favourite spot, but it's.. it's.. it's SERANI. Well it was no surprise to see 'po po' on the outside when we pulled up around 2-ish. Parking isn't too much of a headache for this venue because you could park at the gas station across the street or down the block and hit off the attendant with a ten spot and it’s all good.

The venue was furnished with balloons and decorations everywhere, but the place was pitch black ... a few neon lights would've been great. Wow, can anybody say sweat box? Geeze 'n ages!! I made a rounds then headed straight to the bar. The bartenders were looking too cute in their little Serani Tees. Vibesman Redman was the host for the night backed by DJ’s Natural Freaks, Elegance Sounds, Steelie Bashment and Spin City. After about an hour it was show time.

There were a couple of opening acts who entertained the crowd before Serani came on including "De gyal dem specialist" Lyrikal. Now I know why he calls himself that... as soon as he walked on stage the girls started screaming! I could still hear the ringing in meh ears all now. There was even a brave one who tried to unzip Lyrikal's pants!!!

Finally it was time for the big man himself. Serani had the girls mesmerized as he belted out his chart topping tunes like "Everywhere I Go", "She Loves Me", "Romance" and of course everyone's favorite, "No Games". I had to be stuck in between de madness, however as soon as the crowd started pushing to cop a feel of Serani, I made an about face one time! Sorry ... I like my life!! Hehe. It was a nice experience. I was loving the reggae vibes and I got to hear some of my favorite tunes live.
