It's the warm up for the upcoming Miami Carnival 2008 Fetealotathon®, and the TJJ South Florida Team have entered all pre-qualifying heats. The TJJ Red Team went to September's edition of Strictly Soca at the beautiful Grand Palms Hotel in Pembroke Pines, while the TJJ Blue Team went Downtown Miami to Soho Studios to take part in the The Original Miami Jouvert.

We arrived at Grand Palms around 1 in de morning .. at this time, no lines which means no waiting. At the door, we were greeted by Party People Promotions with nuff luv and respect. Thanks guys! On the inside, DJ House Arrest was tearing up the place with some Soca tunes. Ah couldn't help but wine down low, before ah start taking pictures! smile

The place was ram cram, and the ladies and fellas were all dressed to impressed (well for a Soca fete). I finally made my way to the bar, where I met up with the Generation X crew promoting their upcoming fetes and their 2008 mas presentation "Birds". Well before you know it, ah drink was in meh hand, then another, and another! Noiiiice!!!

South Florida based Soca artiste, Sizwe C, later took the stage and started performing his 2008 track, "Wine on You". Partygoers were then treated to his brand new release "Fiyah" ... the performance was sweet. The usual Strictly Soca suspects ... Dorenzo, Eternal Vibes, Soca Bashment and Kwesi Kriss all played some wicked Soca chunes, that brought out some wining criminals at this fete. Aye Aye Aye!

Before I left, I got a tasty bake and shark with plenty pepper for de road.
