The first thing that comes to mind when we think of a Jewel Miami event is, "We know the venue is gonna be da bomb!" They make a point of finding exclusive venues and they usually find some of the most aesthetically pleasing spots to party. Which is why its always a pleasant surprise when you arrive, because they never reveal the location's address to the public - only those attending will know. These aren’t events for folks to just walk into off the streets ... they keep their crowd and events very EXCLUSIVE.

Now this time, the event's name gave away a lil' hint ... we knew it would be in Miami’s Design district. But that’s all we knew until we made our way to the actual location. From the outside we could see folks partying in the lobby of the 2 story building. A quick word with the bouncer, who himself looked like a building, and we made our way around to the back. There we actually followed some stairs that lead to a Rooftop. Yep, the party was also on the roof of a building in scenic Downtown Miami. And what a great night it was for this type of event ... hot in the day and cool in the evening with zero chance of rain.

Speakers on the roof weren't too loud so as not to disturb the surrounding neighbours, and there was a bar and the food station up there as well. Oh yes, the 2nd thing we always think of with Jewel events is that they are always All Inclusive!! smile So you just walk up to one of the lovely ladies behind the bar and order your drink(s) of choice for the evening.

This was actually our first Rooftop Party in South Florida, and another first on the night was a female DJ on the 1s and 2s. DJ Dharma was mixing things up in the lobby downstairs with a nice blend of Hip Hop and R&B. Later on, it was none other than Richie D himself, who is probably the most requested DJ here in South Florida. Now partygoers on the roof were more in a chill mode, so eventually they were all invited to join everyone else downstairs in the lobby where the volume was pumping, and now with more bodies, the party was popping. A good time was had by all in attendance.
