As a girl, I’m all too familiar with the hassle of buying clothing locally when faced with limited options that are ridiculously overpriced. Of course the only thing worse than actually handing over all that money for a ¼ yard of brightly coloured jersey material is the horror that another girl or two (or three) will inevitably be in that same piece of jersey, steups. Well apparently it’s not only girls that have to battle the greedy clothes extortionists, guys also face the same problems when trying to look sharp and original. Enter Kultured Clothing, an online shopping experience aimed at revolutionizing the access to male apparel in T&T.

Kultured Clothing held their exclusive launch at the cosy, chic Drink! Wine bar. The small, stylish crowd was appreciative of tasty hors d ‘oeuvres and flowing sangria while they socialized and got a feel for what Kultured Clothing had to offer. From the vibe of the event it seems that Kultured clothing is set to be synonymous with sophistication. We noted some particularly well-dressed guys outfitted in casual, well fitting, trendy clothes and were later made aware that these were actually male models mingling among the crowd outfitted exclusively in Kultured Clothing. Nice touch!

A representative of Kultured Clothing made a brief presentation introducing the London based company and giving guests an idea of what they were all about. Essentially the answer to most trendy guys’ prayers, Kultured Clothing offers the elusive combination of convenience, variety, affordability and exclusivity. The presentation included a slide show of the company’s offerings that continued to loop as a backdrop while the event continued.

It’s good to see that guys can finally get in on the online boutique action since this trend has been primarily targeted at girls. We look forward to seeing the impact as word of the new business spreads and Trini guys become more Kultured.
