Hey Honey Bunches of Oats!

Wow big 4th of July weekend almost finished already? Damn ... nonetheless, we had fun. We dominated "Under The Trees", chipped in all white at "Milk", got two free bottles at "Bottle Fest" and now our last stop is "Radica". Words can't explain how exhausted we are at this point ... we fighting sleep fuh days now eh, but Party People and Fun Guyz invited us to "Radica" and we couldn't resist! Besides it's Party People, nuff said!

We got to the venue a bit early, around 7pm, enough time to get greeted by beautiful women in their East Indian sari's distributing red dots for our foreheads. The place was well deck out .... kill me dead, I'm at an Indian wedding! Natalie, great job on the decor. In case you didn't know, "Radica" is an all inclusive, so we don't have time to waste ... straight to the bar! There were two bars - one for regular drinks like your vodka, scotch etc. and a second bar for special drinks/cocktails like mojitos, pina coladas, martinis and the full works. We made sure that we tested everything! smile

As a special treat for the occasion, there was a special station for henna tattoos and Indian style body jewelry, thanks to Pauline. What a treat that was! If you see people lined up to get a tattoo. Boy don't talk about outfits!! If there was one time where I felt like I didn't belong was in this fete. OMG ... everybody had on a sari!! If you see some of the pretty colours ... I almost run home an wrap my living room curtains around me yes! Okay no eh, I'm jus playing.

It's an East Indian theme party, so a lot of Chutney music must play. Of course they played all the big 2009 chunes like "Radica", "Jep Sting Naina" and all the other up to date favorites we know and love. But you see when "Mor Tor" and "Curry Tabanca" get play .... man, it was all over! I got to big up the DJs ... Close Connections, The Professionals and "Da Party Rocker" Back to Basics.

Now once free alcohol getting served, there must be food .... and boy, it was food fuh days!! It's obvious the menu included Roti, but the selections of side entrees is what made it special. When last you get pumpkin, baggi, bodi, curry mango and not to mention about 5 different selections of meat and shrimp in a fete? Did I mention the gourmet styled dishes and fancy serving utensils? With all this food you swear the oyster man would've had a slow night ... yea right, a crowd gathered around waiting for their seafood too!

Thinking what a nice fete this turn out to be, out come some Tassa drummers to spice it up some more. This party reminded me of one of those big carnival fetes in TnT because is only home we accustomed to getting all this nice treatment! *lol* And just like home, it was a ticket only event ... so all who by the door making a set a ole noise should've organized themselves early o'clock! Be prepared next year.

Special thanks to Felix and Fun Guyz for the invite. We'll definitely be there next year, and I'll remember to wear a sari!
