In need of some Therapy!

After a stressful week, I am in need of some "Release Therapy" and I know exactly where to get it. It's DC Carnival Thursday, and I'm heading out to Mystic Vibes 6.0 & Dark Water Entertainment's fete, Release Therapy.

I arrive at Mezza Luna Lounge before midnight and was pleasanlty surprised to see people already partying. I am so used to people arriving real late for Soca fetes that I couldn't believe folks were actually on time for once.

Well de fete was in full swing with New York's Close Connection playing Soca hit after Soca hit. As we walked around the venue, I seeing crew & crew from NY, Miami and even TnT. Wow, like people already reach and geared up for DC Carnival 2k9.

After a nice long set of Soca, the DJ switched it up to Reggae, playing all de back in time jams, as well as, the latest tunes. Then it was back to Soca ... nice (heh, it's Carnival)! Everyone was having a time wining and jamming down de place. The venue wasn't ram out, so there was enough room to jump around and get on bad. And most people knew each other, so de fete had that nice "one family" vibe that we love.

Well, the feting continued until they kicked us out of Mezza Luna. But not before Close Connection did a shout out to Michael Jackson (who passed away earlier today) and played a 20 minute MJ set!! As we were all jamming to some of MJ numerous hits, folks were getting all emotional as it was fresh on everyone's mind. And when I heard "Billie Jean" and "Rock With You", I almost came to tears eh! sad face Big up to my girl who wore one glove in memory of MJ!

Thanks Mystic Vibes 6.0 & Dark Water for the love. I had a great time as always. Looking forward to de next fete!

Heading home, blasting "Do You Remember",
