Greetings all, Ray J here coming at you from the Lion’s club in Port-of-Spain, in Titan’s $1 Party. I managed to arrive at the venue reasonably early (about 11pm *heh*), and even though the dance floor was only half way full the drinks were flowing and already some partygoers were staggering. As the night progressed more and more people found themselves on the dance floor. The DJ filled the atmosphere with an array of different vibez as myself and everyone else in the party were moved to the dancehall, soca and reggae tunes.

Grooving with the music was a hypnotizing display of light, illuminating the room in a variety of colors and revealing some questionable characters that I was so “lucky” to bump into. A group of men were so excited that all drinks were just $1, they just couldn’t help but play a game of “imaginary” jump rope *lol*. Another couple flaunted their dollars proudly, I even saw a few guys counting up their personal dollar stack in preparation to attack de bar. I myself couldn’t help but take advantage of the “$1 for any drink” offer although it was just orange juice (lolz ... had to drive home).

On one of my trips to the bar, I was both horror-struck and shocked, as some young ladies pulled me aside to show how they were celebrating one of their friend’s birthdays. It was actually the birthday cake *wowzer* that was the shocker. I got pictures ... *lol* of the adult shaped cake (see photo 078)!

By about 1:30am, Titan and J.W took the floor, both sporting comfy beach attire. From that moment, the party really kicked off. Titan truly proved that he is the king of the oldies, taking us all waaaaay back from calypso to hip hop, even to TV themes – Fresh Prince of Bel Air being a big favourite.

And of course, the night would not have been complete without a tribute to the King of Pop, the late great Michael Jackson. Titan truly gave us all our dollar’s worth *lol* (hmm ... bad joke??!!) and with J.W at his side (and on a table at times), they had the crowd moving. And I don’t mean just dancing among themselves, I mean electric slide, shuffle ... hell, at one point J.W started up a conga line ... LOL. I must say it was fun! But like the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. The party locked off roughly around 3:30am and as the tides turn and the sun rises to a new day, so too I move on to life’s next adventure.

Till next time, this is your boy Ray J for TJJ signing out. Peace!
