Love and Basketball or Liming and Basketball???? Hmmm!!! Any thoughts....

Now I know there might be mixed reviews on the topic, but with the NBA in our midst what would be better than an event where liming, dancing and basketball could occur in the same spot!! Well, one of the newest restaurants and bars in Barbados which opened on January 15th, 2009, 'Mantra Restaurant and Lounge', was there to take on the challenge.

Sunday was the prefect day for this 'Wet n’ Wild' themed event as the weather was SWEEETTT and Game 5, Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls was kickin off. The ladies were out in the shortest shorts, cutest dresses and skimpiest bikinis and the men arrived with their game faces on.

As summer is fast approaching here on the Island, the DJs DMZ, Ice Crew and Mayhem Sounds were flinging down tunes and getting peoples ready for the CROP!!! The music was off the hook and they kept the party rocking from 4 till 10pm.

And guess what? There was food too.... now who likes to go to a lime with no food??!! I know for me, after a couple of drinks, food becomes my #1 priority!! smile But again, Mantra was there to take on that challenge as they had delicious BBQ chicken, fish, personal pan pizzas and hors d'oeuvres on sale. And let me tell you... THEY WERE DELICIOUS IN TRUTE!!

All in all, the lime was sweet and will not be the last, sooo ladies and gents stay tune for future events at Mantra Restaurant and Lounge!! Big up to Peter Che Simmons and Gavin Julian Courtenay, the guys in charge.

Lyn (still need a TJJ name...)
