The
Oracle - Workshop Opens
Amid rumors of the bands cancellation, band leaders Scott Saldenah, grandson of mas legend Harold Saldenah and co-leader/designer Aaron Schneider chose to delay the opening during the recently concluded election furor.
We were shocked to find out that there was ever such a rumour. The funny thing about these negative endorsements is that they turn themselves into positive energy for us, forcing us forward with even more determination and commitment to The Oracle, explained Schneider.
The bands presentation, titled Gnothi Seauton (Know Thy Self), has garnered both local and international interest with its return to the real carnival roots, of costumes and presentations that tell the bands story. The issues of Aids, hunger, global warming, war, racism and crime are among the major challenges to be high-lighted by the bands presentation. The official mas camp in Woodbrook will soon open its doors however registration has already started at the workshop site and on the Oracle website www.oraclett.com.
Registration has been pouring in from Europe, Africa and the US for the large all-inclusive band, which has reserved a number of costumes for International masqueraders.
The Oracle is an all inclusive, premium service, limited registration band, every single one of our masqueraders will be treated as a VIP. We are cutting off registration at a 1000 masqueraders as we want to make sure that every masquerader is treated with the ultimate in luxury, catering to every one of your five senses, explained Schneider.
