Nadia Batson's here to StayThose who know her have certainly come to love and embrace her, ideally understanding that the lyrics sung aren't made- up stories, but rather experiences and true feelings, brought to life with pen and paper, rhythm and melody...

Nadia Batson's here to stay and for yet another carnival season, she's proving her worth in a song of dynamic proportions. This time around, she's calling out to the carnival crew that she so admirably bases most of her tracks on, plugging her second installation for a season that's short but throbbing with thrill and excitement.

"My Posse," follows Nadia's first release, "Love of My Life" or "Meri Zindagi," which, just about a month ago created radio frequency ruckus as fans and mere music lovers caught on and called out for the chutney- soca track that's brought love, chutney and soca energy into cohesive splendor. The fusion was certainly something that Batson has been yearning to create throughout the years and finally, the track became a reality in what some may say is a true vision of a musical visionary. When asked of her inspiration for such a multi-ethnic twist, Batson coyly replied, " I like to challenge myself, I like to try new things and I've just always wanted to take my music to that boundary- crossing level."

This week though, all ears tune in to hear of the inspiration of a carnival Posse, as Tuesday November 13 th, 2007 marks big tune release day for Trinbago's very own, Caribbean Girl! The song has already been released and strewn across the airwaves in Toronto, Canada. Vigorous much like the artiste herself, My Posse depicts the essence of what Nadia calls, the commencement of carnival and the bacchanal it creates!

In this sizzling 2k8 track, the vocalist who has stunned audiences around the Caribbean region and internationally, summons her carnival lovers- the true fete fanatics, to soca climax, a feeling that she creates through the execution of sound. "My Posse" is also featured on Batson's debut album, "Caribbean Girl," set to hit stores in mid- December.

A woman filled with talent, energy and lyrical resonance, Ms. Nadia Batson is certainly one to be watched in this short season of song, dance and melee, for you just never know... when Carnival Tuesday rears its head, she may be crossing that final stage with none other than... HER Posse!!!
