The anagram is one which can be used to describe this talented and fashionable Soca artiste who is known in the entertainment arena as PELF. Born Victor St. Louis, Pelf migrated to New York in the early 90's and remained there for over fourteen years. It is Pelf's brilliant style and lyrics that distinguishes him from others in the industry.

Pelf washed ashore in 2005 with his hit single "Get On Board" many grew interested in the man who is deemed on of the most fashionable soca artistes on and off stage. After "Get On Board" Pelf continued to deliver without failure; "Body So Hot" and "Sleeping Over" were two of his memorable hits from 2006 and 2007 respectively.

Unlike many other soca artistes Pelf's passion for music and soca did not begin at the age of five or at any tender age. St. Louis jokingly explained that it was because of his fun loving and adventurous personality he decided to try the "soca thing." Robin Solomon a close friend of St. Louis's constantly nagged him to sing and it was because of him and the other factors above, Pelf made the step that is now part of his career.

St. Louis is now back in Trinidad and Tobago full-time and for the upcoming carnival season, Pelf and Shawn "Ma$tamind" Noel have combined their innovative talents to create the smashing hit single "Bumper." The song which is already ripping up the airwaves in Trinidad and Tobago and the world by extension was written by St. Louis, composed and produced by Shawn Noel for Ma$tamind Productions. Bumper is featured on "Da Ma$tamind Project 3" which is currently available for purchase.

Every year for the past two years Ma$tamind Productions has put together a well-defined and unique product, featuring some of the best soca music and soca artistes from Trinidad and Tobago, New York and other Caribbean islands. Pelf has expressed his excitement and satisfaction as far as working with Ma$tamind Productions is concerned and the opportunity to be part of this phenomenal compilation CD. Bumper is not the only song that Pelf has recorded with Ma$tamind Productions, his other song for carnival 2k8 "Give Me Some Water" was also fine-tuned by Shawn "Ma$tamind" Noel. Although "Give Me Some Water" would not be featured on "Da Ma$tamind Project 3" the song has become a favourite also with many Trinbagonians and Caribbean music lovers.

Ma$tamind Productions, an award-winning, full range music production and management company, was founded in 2005 by Natasha Andrews-Noel and Shawn Noel in Brooklyn, New York. The company’s production catalogue consists of several albums showcasing Soca, Calypso, Soca Parang, and Reggae. Through the Many Voices, One Sound initiative, Ma$tamind seeks to aide in the creation and promotion of the music of the Caribbean on an international level.
