Nevis Fashion Weekend is here!
CEO of Winnielle Model Management, Winnielle Guilbert said the event is the biggest her agency has hosted in its five year history and will be the most extravagant of them all to date. This is the first show of this magnitude to be brought to Nevis said Guilbert adding, "This is not a show, it is a production on an international level showcasing the finest talents on the runway from young to seasoned designers to new face models and the more experienced ones coming together to entertain and educate Nevis in a classy, elegant and professional manner." The Nevis Fashion Weekend will span the upcoming weekend July 19 - 22 and will include VIP Cocktail July 19, on July 20 motorcade through streets of Charlestown, Fashion Extravaganza at the Old Manor Resort AND after Party AT NIGHT MOVES Charlestown in the cotton ginery mALL, Fashion and Food Fair and Swimsuit Showcase at Nite Moves July 21 and End of Summer Beach Bash at Sunshines Beach Bar on July 22. Designers slated to showcase their clothing lines on the international fashion event include designer of the year Ximena Valero out of Mexico, Calvin Southwell of Mexico, Sandra Weekes with her "Island Girl Sugar Cane Season" line, Urbhan & Spice "Metamorphosis", Mikieda Franklin "Itsy Bitsy Wear Collection" all out of St Kitts. Kaishah Peters "Knitty Kitty of the Caribbean" of St Maarten, Charlah Connor with her "Asian Chic Collection" out of Anguilla, Cassandra Motley with "Fetish Fashion" out of Barbados, Rifka Maycock "Riff Raff Designs" and Yejide Parry "Njambi D-Zines" out of Nevis. Some twenty-five models including the reigning Miss St Kitts and Miss Nevis will be joined on the runway by their counterparts out of Curacoa, St. Maarten, Anguilla and out of Los Angelos banner model Larue Franks.
