Can you say knit wear?

Imagine the rock hard bodies of oiled skinned mermaids wearing the colors of the ocean, to the feather masked adornments of designs by newcomer Mikieda Franklin.

The March 23rd staging of Winnielle Model Management and bmobile anticipated swimwear fashion event "Show Me Your Body" had it all.

The event highlighted the swimsuit, a must for any visit to the Caribbean whose islands are flanked by the luscious waters of the Caribbean and Atlantic seas.

A field of designers showcasing 10 to 20 pieces each, brought together by CEO Winnielle Guilbert along with the professionalism of some of the islands' top models made the show a classy must attend event for many.

The show opened with the designs of Kaishah Peters of Knitty Kitty designs who created telecommunication giant Cable and Wireless bmobile brand's 2007 swimsuit line.

The line was created in the company's signature colors blue and green in hues that complimented the ocean that surrounds the islands.

A collection of t-shirts highlighting the artistry of internationally reknowned Kittitian artist Dennis Richards splattered the runway with color.

The life that glittered on the runway of Show Me Your Body 2007 was then set afire with the intricate designs of Janay Raymonde with her Feeloje line of swimsuits.

Metallic blue, black, hot pink, coral red, white, teal and green were the colors Janay chose to create a stunningly under water reminiscent collection of mermaid invoking designs.

Although the youngest of the group of designers Toni Thorne it can be said she held her own when she unveiled a collection of chicly sexy swimsuits that hinted to a more playful and even more sophisticated side of the designer.

The designs of Rickenson Ettienne brought out the ooo's and ahhh's of the female populace of the crowd as they wondered out loud "I think I want that!"

Ettienne's designs dripped sex appeal and conjured romantic images best left behind closed doors and on deserted beaches.

First time designer Mikieda Franklin impressed many; designers, organisers and members of the audience alike.

She revealed her line Itsy Bitsy Wear, which was a feather adorned line of 21st century boldness in both color and cut.

The featured designer of the event Sonia Noel of Barbados used the traditional colors of black and white to create a line both elegant and playful.

Her designs ranged from simple to intricate in colors both bold and vibrant.

Swimsuits spoke to a bygone era but hinted of new world charm.

All in all the event lived up to its hype and set the stage for the next instalment of St Kitts and Nevis, top modeling agency Winnielle Model Management "Show Me" events.
