Mighty Crown at World Clash Canada 2005Kingston, Jamaica -- Once again, sound clash is set to reign supreme at Pier 1 when Irish and Chin, Inc. present the 7th annual staging of Death Before Dishonor "World Clash Jamaica" on Easter Monday, April 9 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. If you are unable to make the trip, Irish and Chin, Inc. has you covered, as they are also launching an epic Internet Radio and Television station.

Back in the day, sound clashing was a staple in the dancehalls through out Jamaica. Now, decades later, sound clashing is an underground phenomenon. The vibrant art form has regained its foothold as a vital part of our music culture and industry through the annual staging of "World Clash" and is attracting a large following.

When the first Death Before Dishonor 'World Clash Jamaica' was staged in Trelawny, 1,500 people were there to witness the birth of a premiere event. This local sound clash has grown to a whopping 8,000 fans to date. Annually, international fans travel thousands of miles to witness Death Before Dishonor 'World Clash Jamaica' first-hand.

"Clashing has all the competitive elements of sports," says Chin of Irish and Chin, Inc., promoter of Death Before Dishonor. "There is no doubt that the selectors are bringing their best games to Montego Bay this year."

This year's competitors are: Sound Trooper, Bass Odyssey, David Rodigan, Mighty Crown, Silva Star and Black Reaction. With the defending champion and past winner, Sound Trooper and Bass Odyssey in attendance, the event is sure to be highly entertaining and action-packed. Additionally, the United Kingdom's David Rodigan, is coming back with a vengeance after coming in a close second last year. After missing last year's event, Mighty Crown is courageously returning and focusing on taking the title for a first time. Silva Star from Hanover is getting set for their first appearance on the Death Before Dishonor 7 'World Clash Jamaica' stage. Black Reaction, the current "World Clash Canada" title-holder, is making their first appearance in Jamaica. So, indeed, this year is going to be one no one wants to miss.
